  • Schedule doctor's appointments for out-of-school hours...
  • Early to bed...early to rise...makes your child happy, healthy, and ready to try :-)
  • Communicate with teachers when there are changes that could affect behavior.

Information regarding a writing program, Handwriting Without Tears that addresses handwriting problems; a program that may benefit your child, and could be covered by insurance, being offered at Baylor Scott & White Health. 2014-2015
April:
  • Summer is almost here, and many of  you have asked about activities for your kids. Click here for a list that was shared with us by RRISD...Summertime activities.

  • The last 9 weeks of school...yikes! The weeks ahead are chock-ful of activities for every grade level. Please make sure your child gets the rest they need to be alert and ready for school each day! Free breakfast is provided for all students during the week of STAAR testing. You can visit the Food Service website to see what is being served at our school on specific days https://roundrockisd.org/departments/food-services/menus/  
  • STAAR Test Dates for 4th Grade: 
  • Math: April 21
  • Reading: April 22

February/ March:
The more practice they get, the more comfortable our kids will be on test day. Please spend some time over the next few weeks to help your child familiarize themselves with the sample test features on the STAAR-A test. Questions pertain to 3rd through 5th grade, and are only meant to introduce students to the features available. 
The sample tests can be accessed through the TEA website or through these links... (click 'Later' if you are prompted to update Java)
STAAR Test Dates for 4th Grade:
Writing: March 30 and 31
Math: April 21
Reading: April 22

January:
Please encourage you children to read independently, write in journals, practice math facts, and get familiar with computers and their functions at home. The 'For Kids' page has many helpful websites to make learning fun.
