Getting to know the routines!

We started groups last week with mini treasure-hunts to locate supplies and learning areas in the room. The competitive spirit was alive and well as students ran to find 'the library corner', or the 'corner where glue-sticks and scissors' are kept, or 'the shelf where student note-books are kept', and so on. Now, they know exactly where to go for the various activities.

We have also done a little bit of review - reading independently and jotting down wonderings; mining (brain-storming) ideas for stories and creating story plans; and jumping right into the joys (!) of multiplication :-) Have your student show off a little...encourage them to share...lets all enjoy learning!
