Wow! It's a New Month Already!

January has flown by! My schedule saw changes which took a little getting used to, but it's all good now :-)

My 4th graders were rewarded for their hard work and perseverance with Bluebonnet books...they all got to go to Mrs. Fournier's fun Bluebonnet Party...won 2 free books, had nails painted, played games...CONGRATULATIONS guys! I am so proud of each of you!

They have also been learning about using quotation marks and apostrophes, writing some great stories, learning word  patterns, sequencing, and reading independently and on Learning Ally . In Math, they have explored area / perimeter and know that  practice makes perfect. The same goes for math facts too, so keep practicing.

2nd graders have done some wonderful learning, too! They completed research projects on famous people, following all the steps that good writers follow: brainstorming, planning, organizing, using time-lines, researching in books and on the internet, editing, revising, and finally publishing! Way to go! Now, we move on to Poetry - rhymes, rhythm, repetition. Let's get creative!
